Kaiti School is a school going places! In 2010 that place was Samoa! From an idea, and a dream, to an incredible experience! A group of students, teachers and parents took up the amazing challenge to travel to Samoa. It took around a year and half of hard work fundraising but the experience was well worth it. The children who went experienced a wealth of Samoan culture, travelled on a ferry from the island of Upolu to Savai’i, swam with turtles, feasted on Samoan food, spent time in a school in the area where the tsunami had devastated it a year earlier and slept in fale a few minutes walk from the gorgeous beaches. It was the first time Kaiti had taken a group of students overseas, and the experience was so fantastic that the next stop in two years time ...... Tonga.
